The OCSU PTCA in collaboration with the District Health Office Staff are kicking off a month-long wellness challenge for all students, staff and families! Today students will receive their Week 1 Challenge Card with a focus on nutrition. Directions to enter a raffle are included. Caregivers who wish to participate should contact their school office!

Did you know that fruits and vegetables are packed with vitamins that help your body grow strong and stay healthy? Try to “eat the rainbow” by choosing fruits and vegetables of different colors each day. Each color provides different nutrients your body needs. Carrots are rich in vitamin A, which helps keep your eyes healthy and supports good vision—especially in dim light!

This morning, we gathered for a very special assembly to honor our latest Core Value Award winners! These students were nominated by their teachers for consistently demonstrating Community—one of the five pillars that make IVS such a wonderful place to grow.

Whether it’s lending a helping hand, including a new friend, or looking out for one another, these leaders remind us that we are always better together.

Big congratulations to our community award recipients!
